Game Of Thrones Season 8 Set To Start Filming This Fall

Game Of Thrones Season 8 Set To Start Filming This Fall

Guess what, fellow Westeros enthusiasts? Hold onto your dragon eggs, because the whispers are getting louder! It seems like just yesterday we were saying goodbye to our favorite (and least favorite) characters. Now, the rumors are flying thick and fast.

Yep, you heard it right. Sources are buzzing that filming for the much-anticipated (and perhaps slightly dreaded) Game of Thrones Season 8 is gearing up to start this fall. Can you believe it? More dragons, more political backstabbing, and probably more snow than anyone actually wants to deal with.

It feels like we just finished binge-watching the last season. My couch still remembers the imprint of my posterior. And now, we're already talking about getting back into the thick of it. My popcorn budget is already quaking in fear.

Honestly, part of me is just thrilled to have more of this epic saga. Another part of me is wondering if my heart can take it. Remember that Red Wedding? Yeah, still having nightmares. But hey, that’s why we love it, right?

This fall is going to be a big one. Think crisp autumn air, pumpkin spice lattes, and the comforting knowledge that soon, we’ll be glued to our screens again, yelling at fictional people. It’s the simple joys.

I'm already picturing the cast and crew braving the elements. Imagine Liam Cunningham as Ser Davos, probably complaining about the lack of decent ale. Or Kit Harington, looking brooding and handsome as Jon Snow, probably wondering if he’s supposed to be alive again. Again.

And what about Daenerys? Will she finally get that comfy throne she’s been eyeing? Or will one of her dragons decide to go rogue and accidentally set King’s Landing on fire? Wouldn't be the first time. That’s the magic of Game of Thrones, after all.

My only real "unpopular opinion" (don't @ me!) is that I kind of hope it's a little bit of a slower burn this season. You know, more character moments, more witty banter, less rushing towards the inevitable conclusion. Is that too much to ask?

I mean, we've been on this wild ride for so long. Years of our lives have been dedicated to figuring out who is related to whom and why everyone is so grumpy. A little bit of breathing room would be nice.

But then again, I also have that little voice in my head that’s screaming, "Just give me the White Walkers! Give me the dragons fighting! Give me all the epic battles!" It’s a constant internal struggle.

The thought of new scripts being passed around is making my inner fan girl do a happy dance. I can almost smell the parchment and the spilled Westerosi wine. It’s going to be glorious. And probably expensive in terms of my emotional well-being.

I’m already mentally preparing myself for the inevitable spoilers. I’ll be diving into every cryptic tweet and blurry set photo like a raven searching for scraps. My social media feed is about to become a minefield of potential plot twists.

And the theories! Oh, the theories! People will be dissecting every frame, every glance. Is that a shadow in the background? Does that mean he's still alive? Is that a dragon egg in Sansa's pocket? The internet will break.

I have a feeling that this season is going to be HUGE. Like, really huge. They’ve probably got entire armies of extras and enough pyrotechnics to rival a small country’s independence day celebration.

I’m also curious about where they’ll be filming. Will we get more sweeping shots of Iceland? Or will they be venturing into new, unexplored territories? Maybe they'll find a place that’s actually warm for once. Imagine Tyrion sipping a cocktail on a beach!

The stakes are higher than ever. We’re talking about the fate of the entire known world. No pressure, writers! Just a little thing like that.

I’m already stocking up on my emergency chocolate stash. Because let’s be honest, there will be moments where chocolate is the only thing that can soothe the soul. Especially if someone we love (or love to hate) meets an untimely end.

And the music! Ramin Djawadi is a genius. I can already hear those epic orchestral swells building up to some devastatingly beautiful scene. Or a ridiculously bloody one. Probably both.

I’m sure there will be countless hours of behind-the-scenes footage too. Watching the actors try to keep a straight face while delivering lines about direwolves or ice zombies must be hilarious. Especially for the veteran cast members.

I can just see Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, cracking jokes between takes and probably improvising some of his best lines. He’s too good. We don’t deserve him.

My biggest fear is that they'll rush the ending. After all these years, I want a satisfying conclusion. I don't want to feel like I just watched a really long movie with a bad final act. Please, HBO, be kind to us!

But for now, let’s just enjoy the anticipation. Let’s speculate wildly. Let’s rewatch the old seasons. Because before we know it, this fall will be here, and we’ll be back in Westeros, ready for whatever madness awaits.

So, start dusting off your raven-watching binoculars. Get your theories ready. And most importantly, prepare your emotional support system. Because Game of Thrones Season 8 is coming.

And remember, winter is coming. And apparently, so is more filming. Get ready, folks!

I'm already starting to practice my "OMG, NO!" face. It’s a crucial skill for any true GoT fan.

The world might be a little bit brighter (or darker, depending on how you look at it) with the promise of more Westerosi drama. It’s a comforting thought in these uncertain times.

I, for one, will be eagerly awaiting those first official announcements. Until then, I’ll be over here, dreaming of dragons and plotting my own survival strategy in case the White Walkers decide to visit my neighborhood.

This fall is going to feel a lot longer now, knowing what’s brewing. But it’s a good kind of long. The kind that’s filled with anticipation and the sweet, sweet promise of more incredible television.

Let the games begin. Again. And this time, let’s try not to cry too much. Or maybe let’s just get it all out. Whatever makes you feel better when the dragons are breathing fire and the ice is creeping south.
